Gomez, born in Grand Prairie Texas, spent many years performing before landing the role on Wizards of Waverly Place that catapulted her to the limelight. Gomez received her big break in 2007 when cast in one of the leading roles on the popular Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place. Since then, Gomez assumed the leading roles in several feature films including the Princess Protection Program. In 2009, Selena burst on the music scene with her group “The Scene”.
