Jason Aldean is one of the hottest sellers of concert tickets in country music right now. The Nashville superstar, who has scored five number one singles and two platinum albums in his six year career, is set to sell even more concert tickets with his upcoming tour dates this summer.
Jason Aldean catapulted to country stardom with his first single "Hicktown", which flew into the charts at number 10 and served as the lead-off track to his 2005 self-titled debut album. The album was a huge success, spawning two more top 10 country hits with "Amarillo Sky" and "Why", Aldean's first number one single.
In 2007, Jason Aldean scored a further pair of top 10 country hits with "Laughed Until We Cried" and "Johnny Cash", the latter originally a deep cut recorded by fellow Nashville artist Tracy Byrd. Both singles were taken from Aldean's second album, Relentless, which shot into the Billboard charts at number four.
Jason Aldean scored his second number one hit in late 2008 with "She's Country", which also became his first top 30 placement on the mainstream pop charts. That song would serve as a preview to Aldean's third album, 2009's Wide Open, which matched its predecessor's chart placements of number four mainstream and number one country. The platinum album scored two further country chart toppers during 2009 with "The Truth" and "Big Green Tractor", the latter becoming his first top 20 hit on the pop charts. Wide Open garnered three nominations at the 2010 CMT music Awards, which Aldean marked by dueting with Bryan Adams on the Canadian rocker's 1985 hit "Heaven".
Jason Aldean soared to even greater commercial and critical heights with his fourth album, 2010's My Kinda Party. Aldean bypassed the typical Nashville studio players for these sessions, opting instead to record the album with his own touring band. Fans responded to this more personal approach by sending My Kinda Party all the way to number two on the mainstream album charts. The album has spawned two major hits with the title-track and "Don't You Wanna Stay", Aldean's fifth chart topping country single. The recently extracted "Dirt Road Anthem" shows Aldean taking on another new style, country rap.
Concerts tickets are flying right now as Jason Aldean heads out on the road. The summer portion of his 2011 touring schedule will commence with a showcase at the Milwaukee, WI Summerfest on July 8
