As a touring act, Creed was hugely successful. Between November of 1997 though the end of 2002, the band reported more than $70 million in grosses and two million tickets sold from 220 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore. Three studio albums -- "My Own Prison" (1997), "Human Clay" (1999) and "Weathered" (2001) -- have collectively sold 26.3 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The Creed tour -- which will feature plenty of pyro, accoring to Fermaglich -- will be promoted by a combination of Live Nation on many shows and Red Mountain/Blue Deuce Entertainment on others, in separate deals. The band is currently writing new material and plans to release an album later this year. "The intention is that we're going to release a single at some point in June or July before the tour, and then release a record at some point in the late third-quarter/early fourth-quarter," the agent says, adding that international tour dates and another U.S. run would likely follow a new album.
